Adam Nathaniel Furman (he/him) is an internationally recognized artist and designer based in London, trained in architecture, whose work critically engages ornament, color, and aesthetics as cultural and political agents within the built environment. His practice spans products, furniture, interiors, and large-scale public works, uniting historical reference with contemporary theory through rigorous material and formal exploration. Furman’s research-driven approach has contributed significantly to architectural discourse through teaching, curatorial work, and publications, including Queer Spaces, An Atlas of LGBTQIA+ Places and stories and Revisiting Postmodernism. His work is held in major international museum collections, and in 2024 he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Royal Institute of British Architects in recognition of his contributions to British architecture.
