Intelligent Social Network Interventions for Interdisciplinary Interactions in Project Teams

Dr. Sinem Mollaoglu is a Professor and the Program Director at the Construction Management Program in the School of Planning, Design, and Construction at the Michigan State University. She is a LEED® accredited and CGP designated professional. She received her Ph.D. degree from Penn State, Architectural Engineering in 2007 with her dissertation on high performance green building delivery.

Building up on her interdisciplinary background, she has been working towards her vision: “Contributing to the improvement of sustainable project delivery through investigation of team integration phenomenon and assessment systems for green built environments.” To date, she has led/co-led projects funded by public and private institutions including: National Science Foundation, Charles Pankow Foundation, National Association of Home Builders, National Academy of Sciences, Michigan Department of Transportation, and International Partnering Institute.

Future of Architectural Engineering Research and Education: Experiences from the Department of Architectural Engineering at Penn State University

Dr. Sez Atamturktur Russcher is the Harry and Arlene Schell Professor and Department Head of Architectural Engineering in the College of Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. She conducts research in the area of uncertainty quantification and validation of predictive models of engineering systems. Her work has been supported by numerous federal agencies and documented in over 100 publications. Prior to joining Penn State, she served at Clemson University as Associate Vice President for Research and Distinguished Professor and founded the Office of Research Development. Previously, Dr. Atamturktur was at Los Alamos National Laboratory as an LTV technical staff member.

Anil Sawhney

Twinning construction projects from design to turnover

Anil Sawhney is the Global Lead for the Construction and Infrastructure Sector at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Anil is a construction and infrastructure sector expert, an educator, a researcher, and a ConstructionTech enthusiast. In his role at the RICS, he is involved in producing the construction and infrastructure sector’s body of knowledge, standards, guidance, practice statements, education, and training. He is also an Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University, Visiting Professor at Liverpool John Moores University in the UK, and an adjunct faculty at the University of Southern California. Anil has a rich mix of academic, research, industry, and consulting experience gathered in the USA, India, Canada, the UK, and Australia. In 2020, he co-authored a book entitled “Construction 4.0-Innovation Platform for the Built Environment.” He is currently the co-editor of the Construction Innovation Journal. Dr. Sawhney serves on the international editorial board of the ICE Infrastructure Asset Management journal and the Journal of Information Technology in Construction.
