Park(ing) Day is an international day to recognize and celebrate initiatives that reclaim street parking spots and transform them into pop-up parks and green spaces. These demonstrations show what can be possible in our public spaces when we shift how they’re designed and how they can be used.
This year there is a collective effort from Kent State University’s College of Architecture and Environmental Design Master of Landscape Architecture Program (KSU CAED MLA), Cleveland State University’s American Planning Association student chapter (CSU APA), and KSU’s Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative (CUDC) to hold Park(ing) Day in downtown Cleveland.
